I got up and had a swim in the Hotel Pool before packing up my gear, I then went and had another great breakfast before checking out of the resort, and driving up to Sedona to do a ride on my way to Flagstaff where I would be staying with a friend I'd ridden with on a pervious trip to Arizona. |

The drive to Sedona was ok with no traffic hold ups on the way, I parked up near the IGA Market, and started my ride. First I rode up the road to the bell rock car park and then started riding North along the bell rock bike path. |

After riding past bell rock I headed off on the Llama trail, the view's were great. |

The Llama trail has various ups and downs , with a few rocky sections, its nice and narrow in places and good fun to ride. |

At the end of the trail I turned right onto the Little Horse trail and rode it up past the Chapel trail. |

I carried on up the Little Horse trail to Chicken point, it was very windy up at chicken point but it was still warm in the sun. |

From Chicken point on rode up the broken arrow trail. The trail rides a lot better riding from chicken point, compared to the last time I rode it from the other direction. |

The broken arrow trails goes up and down although mainly down in this direction , and you traverse across some areas of slick rock. |

In the past I've ridden up the broken arrow trail from where you connect on it from below submarine rock, but this time I continued downwards to the Devils Dining room sinkhole. |

From the end of the trail I made my way to the Mystic trail |  |

The mystic trail followed the path of some underground cables and eventually ended at the road up to the Chapel Trail. |

The Chapel trail had a couple of tricky spots on it and eventually I came out on the Little Horse trail, which I rode back down to the HT trail which takes you through a tunnel and then under a road bridge to the Templeton Trail. |

After rolling twisiting singletrack the trail heads round Cathedral rock on a slick rock Bench. |

There is steep descent down some switch backs (hike a bike in places for me) and the trail arrives at Buddah Beach, after some hike-a-bike you ride along the river at the turning for The Bladwin trail I turned left and headed up the trail. |

The Baldwin trail has some great singletrack which takes you down to to Verde Valley School Rd. The Verde school road is mostly uphill and not much fun. |

After riding the road back to my car my bike computer said I'd ridden 23 miles. I packed up my bike and then bought a cold drink and some ice cream before driving towards Flagstaff. |

There were road works in Sedona causing long tail backs so I thought I'd try driving up to I15 via Schenbury Hill rd, like I'd seen my friend Tomas do on my last trip to the states. |

The dirt road was very rough in places, but me and my SUV made it to the top in one piece, I then drove on over Tomas's house getting there at about 7.40pm. He wasn't there when I arrived but just as I dug out my phone to call him he arrived from a days work down in Sedona. Tomas cooked some dinner which was great, we had rice, salad, asparagus and some meat cooked on his barbie I then had an early night ready for days riding with Tomas and Tippy the dog the following day. |
