We had one last swim at the hotel before checking out of the Hotel. We drove north on the 1, then on the 997, then west on the 41 , Where we stopped at Shark Valley. I rented a clunker and Clare rode her new mountain bike.

We had a fun time riding around the tram route, dodging Alligators on the road in places. The ride was 15 miles in total , but it was all very flat so was not difficult to complete.

We also walked along a couple of trails and saw birds, fish and alligators again.

We then drove on to Naples on the west coast, but could not find a Hotel room due to a big golf tournament going on, so we drove on in the dark to Fort Myers Beach, but yet again found no rooms, eventually we got a room at a Holiday Inn in downtown Fort Myers. Unfortunately the room was dirty and smelt of smoke and it was very noisy. But as it was late we had to stay there.
