We woke up early and packed up all our stuff. Our stay at Rim Village although quite expensive had been great. |

We headed out of Moab along the Potash road, heading West. The road was great fun to drive along with epic views where ever you looked.

We stopped in various places to take in the amazing views. In particular the view from Goose Necks overlook was fantastic. |

We then drove up the Shafer trail into the Island in the sky district of Canyonlands National Park. The road was very rocky with loads of switchbacks on the final climb.

At the top of the climb we admired the fantastic views of the White Rim and Green river.
We then drove out of Canyonlands , then north on 191 to I70 then east to Grand Junction. We arrived at about 3pm and checked into the La Quinta inn and suites , the room had a large king size bed for $69 a night.

Once we had checked in, we then headed out to go for a ride at the Tabernache trail area. We rode Andys Loop which was great, but we ran out of daylight and finished in the dark.
As it was quite late we had dinner at Coco's a restaurant attached to the Holiday Inn - food was ok, but not great |
