Day 22 - Moab, Needles National Park Hike

As my arm was feeling sore from my fall the day before we decided to have a day off from riding and drove 87 miles into the Needles District of Canyon lands National park.

We drove to the Elephant Hill trail head and hiked into the Chesler park area.

It was a great day, with hardly a cloud in the sky at the temperature was a comfortable 75f. We found indian rock art as we hiked along the trail.

The trail varied greatly as we hiked along it, going up and down, between huge rocks. And through narrow slots in the rocks.

Eventually we came to the best part of the hike the Joint Trail, the trail went down into a narrow crack in the rocks. It was great fun scrambling around over the rocks.

in total we hiked about 12 miles and the hike took about 5 hours.

We then drove back to Moab and got back at 7.30pm , we stopped about the Moab Brewery but there was a 1 hour wait, so we went to the city market and bought a frozen pizza and some other stuff , which we then east back at the apartment.
