We woke to another sunny day with clear blue skies, and decided to go and ride the Sovereign trail in the morning.

On the way to the trail we stopped and looked at the dinosaur tracks at The Sauropod Dinosaur Tracksite which is 23 miles north of Moab on the east side of US 191

We then drove to the Dalton Wells car Park. Then we rode along Dalton wells rd, to the start of the singletrack.The ride was a 17 mile out and back ride. It was a quite easy ride , and there were a fair few people riding it in both directions. We finished fairly early at 1.30pm and headed back into Moab and had another Hogi Yogi, then had a look around the shops , it was very hot about 30c.

We then headed up to the slick rock trail, and Clare hiked around the practice loop while I rode the main loop, on one steep uphill section my back wheel slipped and I hit the deck. When you do fall on slick rock you wish that you were wearing body armour. I scarped a load of skin off my elbow, and scraped off the scabs already on my leg.

After my fall I took the rest of the route quite slowly and got back to the car in the dark.

We had dinner at Fiesta Mexicana , the food was ok but not as good as it had been at Salida.
