As we had a late flight home we decided to go sight seeing in Venice before going to the airport. We bought a return bus ticket at the airport and went to Piazzale Roma. We then caught the waterbus to St Marks square. We arrived at St Marks and then wandered around Venice, it was really hot about 35c. After enjoying the clean air and solitude in the mountains , over crowded, smelly hot Venice to be honest sucked.. I was kicking myself in that we could have enjoyed a morning in the mountains, rather than visit Venice. We had Pizza at a cafe next to a canal and then headed back to the airport, unfortunately our plane was delayed by 3 hrs and we got back to England in the early hours of the morning.

DAY 1
