We woke to another cloudy day, but the forecast was saying that the rain should hold off so we decided to go and do a VF we had really liked on our last trip, Brigata Tridentina. We drove over to VF via Corvara.
Although cloud was evident , there was none on the mountain we were going to climb up, so we hiked on to the start of the VF. |
This VF is very popular, as it has a fairly short hike in to the first section of VF, and hence a fairly slow one to do, due to the big queue's of people on the route. |
Even though the routes very popular and busy, its well worth doing, as the views are great and its a pretty long VF ascending 750m , and has around 400m of VF |
There's a bridge crossing just before the end of the route which cross's deep chasm.
At the top of the route we took our gear off , and then had lunch at Rif F. Cavazza al Pisciadu, before starting to hike back down to car via route 676 and 651. Which is a longer way than route 666 but a much better hike. |
We walked back towards the car, passing under the VF where we could see some late climbers heading up the VF, we then down climbed the first section of the VF. |
