Arizona 2005 - Day 13 - Phoenix
Pima & Dynamite my favorite Phoenix ride
Trail 100 night ride
Had breakfast at the Hotel and then headed over to Pima & Dynamite again, as I couldn't resist the lure of the great trails over there. I parked up at the end of Alma school road again. And set off into the state trust land.

Even though it was a sunny day there was quite a cold wind blowing, so I had to keep myself covered up |

| The dreaded Cholla cactus , its covered in loads of spines and chunks of the cholla often fall off on the trails which are very avoid easy to ride over I managed to do this while riding and had to spend 20 minutes picking loads of spines out of my tyre with mini pliers. I bought slime filled tyres shortly after this encounter. |

I managed to get a few good pictures of myself , by setting up my mini tripod, setting the timer to 20 seconds and then legging it back to my bike. |

There are some massive cactus at the west end of the Pima & Dynamite, that the trail weaves in and out of. I rode round for 3 hours and then returned to the SUV, as I had arranged to meet Steve and go for a night ride at Trail 100 with Steve and some of his riding buddies. |

I picked up Steve at his place of work, where we worked on fixing his bike's loose pivot point with some tools i'd brought with me from England. Then we drove on over to Trail 100.

I had a great night ride at Trail 100 with Steve and about 12 other riders, to start off with I was not up with the lead riders, but after a while i got tired of constantly riding in a thick cloud of dust with near zero visibility and choking to death on the dust and made my to the front of the pack. I had a fairly wild ride keeping up with the lead rider until I managed to snake bite on one of the decent's. Luckily the puncture was close to the end of the ride. |

I drove Steve back to his place and then headed back to the Hotel for a swim and then hit the sack.
