Arizona 2005 - Day 12 - Sedona
Munds Wagon / Cow Pies / Big Park / Little Horse / llama mountain bike trails
As the bad air in Phoenix was really getting to me, I decided to escape back up to Sedona for more red rock riding and clean mountain air. I had breakfast at the Hotel again, and then drove up the I17 again to Sedona again.
I parked up at the bottom of Schebly Hill Road and then rode up the road to the Huckaby Trail car park.
From there I rode up the Munds wagon trail with the intention of finding the Damifino Trail. The trail was a lot narrower than the name would suggest, with lots of ups and downs, but mainly ups. |

In places the trail crossed slick rock sections, and in other places it was singletrack contouring the side of the creek bed, most of the time you could either see or hear jeeps going along the Schebly Hill road, which the trail parallels. |

The dangerous slick rock wasn't that dangerous just damn good fun to ride on, as you can see from the icy pictures in the shade it was quite cool. |

I turned off munds wagon trail to the Cow Pies, but the maps i had were so vague i couldn't find the start of the Damifino trail, so after riding all over the pies I headed back to the wagon trail and rode it all the way up to the Schnebly vista view point. |

The lower part of Munds Wagon trail was great fun nice and fast singleytrack. |

| I cycled back to the car and then drove over to Oak Creek Village and parked u, Then rode up to bell rock trail head, and did a few circuits of the Big Park trails and then headed off up the Bell Rock path. |

I turned off on the Little Horse trail and cycled up to chicken point, at this point I started to get bit spooked as I couldn't see any house light or hear any cars so I headed back down the trail and headed off down the Llama trail. The trails were even better at night than in the day, with the extra buzz of knowing there may be creatures in the dark that may want to eat me. |

Eventually got back to the car and then drove back to Phoenix.
